About Toledo Clinic Allergy
Dr. Thakur is double board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is also a member of the Ohio State Medical Association and the Toledo Allergy Society.
Dr. Thakur specializes in allergy, asthma, eczema and clinical immunology for adults and children. He has been in practice for over 20 years. He has been at The Toledo Clinic since 1999. Before joining the Toledo Clinic, Dr. Thakur worked as an Attending Physician at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He has been involved in medical teaching and research, and he has published research papers that have appeared in several medical journals. He has also given several presentations at national and international medical conferences.
Dr. Thakur completed his medical education and post-graduate training at the Patna Medical College and Hospital in India. He then received advanced medical training & worked at different hospitals for the National Health Service in England for several years. In (missing text here), he was awarded Membership by the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP, UK).
In the United States, Dr. Thakur completed residency training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York, where he also served as Chief Resident in the Department of Pediatrics. Subsequently, he completed a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in the Department of Medicine, also at the SUNY, Stony Brook, New York.
A native of India and a proud U.S. citizen, Dr. Thakur is devoted to serving the local community with medical knowledge and skills that he has acquired in three different continents.
